Researcher

I am a Ph.D. in Computer Science. My thesis name is Opening Up Trace-Based Mechanisms, which Professor Dr. Éric Tanter guided. My thesis was developed at the Pleiad laboratory of the Computer Science Department (DCC) and the Center for Advanced Research in Education (CIAE). Both institutions belong to the University of Chile. After my Ph. D, I have realized many research stays at universities/institutes in different countries: India (2024), Colombia (2021), Japan (2019), Colombia (2018), Japan (2013), Japan (2014), and France (2010).

I am interested in different topics related to software development (e.g., software engineering and programming languages). Additionally, I am interested in the application of agent-based models to predict social behaviors (e.g., Marketing).

Internships/Visiting Researchers

  • Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), New Delhi, India. I studied Artificial Intelligence tools like Deep Learning,  February, 2024 (3 weeks).
  • University of The Andes, Bogota, Colombia. We studied modular abstractions for Context-Oriented Programming  (COP) – November, 2021 (3 weeks).
  • Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Tokyo, Japan. We studied modular construction of context-aware systems, September – February, 2019 – 2020 (6 months).
  • Cauca University, Popayan, Colombia. We studied collaboration between Software Product/Process Lines and Open Implementation guidelines, February – March, 2018 (2 months)
  • Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. We studied different applications of asynchronous programming and aspect-oriented programming for the Web. December – February, 2014 – 2015 (2 months)
  • Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. We studied the use of my Ph. D. thesis in mobile applications, April – August, 2013 (4 months)
  • Ecole des mines de Nantes, Nantes, France. We studied the relationship between OTM (an open implementation of  existing trace-based mechanisms) and the causality of events in distributed systems, February – March, 2010 (2 months)
